Policy Statement
Unity Growth Hub is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children, young people, and vulnerable adults who engage with our services. We believe that every learner has the right to learn in a safe, supportive, and respectful environment.
Our Commitment
We will:
- Place the welfare and safety of children at the centre of our activities.
- Provide a safe learning environment for all students.
- Treat all learners equally and with respect.
- Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns.
- Maintain appropriate safeguarding procedures and records.
- Ensure staff and volunteers understand their safeguarding responsibilities.
Behaviour Expectations
All staff, tutors, volunteers, parents, and students must:
- Treat others with dignity and respect.
- Avoid bullying, harassment, discrimination, or abusive behaviour.
- Report any safeguarding concerns immediately to the designated safeguarding officer.
Reporting Concerns
Any safeguarding concern should be reported as soon as possible to Unity Growth Hub's designated safeguarding officer.
Where there is concern that a child or vulnerable adult may be at risk of harm, Unity Growth Hub reserves the right to contact the appropriate safeguarding authorities, social services, police, or other relevant agencies.
Online Safety
Students participating in online sessions must:
- Use appropriate language and behaviour.
- Participate from a suitable environment where possible.
- Not record sessions without permission.
- Not share meeting links or access details with others.
